It’s been a nice start to winter.  The weather the last 2 weeks has been great.  We now start gaining a little more daylight every day until the 21st of June.  We are also one day closer to spring!

The grain markets continue to struggle.  The excess production here and the available worldwide supplies will have the bears sleeping and the bulls hoping for SA production issues.  As of now, it looks all clear on the horizon.  Bean harvest has started in parts of Brazil.  Our local bean basis doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Bean lines in CR and IFalls have been long.  It feels like the corn basis could start to firm after the first of the year.    Ethanol margins have bounced off their lows.

If someone says there’s way too much religion associated with Christmas, please take the time to explain the reason we do celebrate.

Merry Christmas!

Bob
